Saturday Surfing, and The Quest for a Dynamite Drugstore Concealer - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Doc Fealgud, it's a Lawmaking Brown! The patient needs a cup of coffee, stat! She's going into a decaffeinated stupor!
With cream and carbohydrate, doctor! WITH CREAM AND Sugar!
Howzit, ladies? Ye olde mental motor blew a head gasket this morning because I was up tardily last night watching the new Harry Potter movie.
I won't mail service any spoilers (outside of the comments) today, but I will say that this one scared me more the other ones did. If you've seen information technology, let me what you thought in the comments. I didn't read the book, and I'd also similar to hear what someone who read information technology has to say. I've read some mixed reviews.
Weird… You wouldn't remember that sitting relatively yet in a movie house for a few hours could be as tiring as it appears to have been, judging by my dark circles this morning, simply it gives me an alibi, similar and then many things practice, to try new makeup.
I've been trying to find a expert drugstore concealer, and I picked up this one past Almay terminal calendar week called Smart Shade with SPF 20 ($ix) in Medium. It'south the darkest of the three shades it comes in.
The company claims these change color to match your skin tone when they're applied. The Medium shade definitely does darken as yous work it in, but I tin can't tell if it's simply darkening as it dries, or actually responding to my pare tone… Either way, it sure is swell to see it modify color on the peel.
After using information technology a few times this week, I retrieve it'southward time to ready it aside and get dorsum to shopping. I mean, it'south piece of cake to alloy, and I like the color changing aspect, but the Medium shade is lighter than I expected and has pinkish beige undertones that lend a gray cast to my skin. Plus, the coverage is but way too sheer for this brown girl.
If you go real deal Holyfield dark circles, yous'll probably need something more opaque, but if you take skilful luck with beige/pink face products and merely need mild coverage, it'southward probably worth a attempt.
Before you Tom Prowl outta here, we can't let those good waves go to waste. Are y'all upward for a little Sat Surfing with me?
